Rwandan Report

Hello Everyone! This is Katie (Amy's sister) and I have an update for you all about their status. On Friday they had several errands to run, including trying to get a Rwandan passport that would allow them to travel with Kieran out of the country. It was not approved and they now have to stay in Rwanda an extra day. Please pray that everything will work out on Monday so they can get to Ethiopia and stay on their timetable to come home. Saturday, Mike and Kieran hung out together in the hotel room while Amy went off shopping with some of the other families. Kieran still has a cough and a fever. So, please also pray that they can know how best to help him and get him healthy. Kieran is still pretty shy, but really clings to them and even smiled for the first time when he was playing with Mike. Amy said he is really smart, catches on quickly and is quite determined to learn new things. On Saturday they also returned to the orphanage to say their last goodbyes. Kieran was sad to leave behind the nuns and other caregivers, but reacted fairly well when it was time to say goodbye. Amy said they are quite the spectacle in Rwanda, but all the people they have talked to have been friendly. They are looking forward to coming home and seeing Kieran come out of his shell more and more.
